I reached the run site which was by the side of the newly completed highwayby 5.30 pm. The hare and the cohare were already out sitting around idling. They said it was a short run . I might as well take a leisure walk. Seizing the opportunity of Sam's company, we entered the trail early at 5.30 pm, Alex & company soon followed up.

It was indeed a very pleasant walk over undulating trail in the young oil palm estates. Ball breaker runner,Sam could not wait any longer and dashed ahead and disappeared from the scene soon. helen Lee caught up with me and we had nice long chat about the grandmother's story of those good old days. There was a lady guest runner who looked and sounded familiar and later I realised we met before in Malacca club in the second day of our 30th Anniversary run. She had stayed on until then. She was Lapar from Lanchiang Panjang of Indonesia. There were only two checks along the way and there were many runners in front so it was not difficult for us to just catch up. In addition, there was one deep ditch that one had to crawl in and out, that was where I got a deep cut on my finger by the barbed wire. I must be quite slow and Helen left me and I was alone then and finally the long lost soul Lingam caught up. This guy left us some ten years ago and rejoined the last couple of runs. He put on a lot of weight and the body had swollened to double. He still could run well and he told me his determination to reduce his weght in a year's time. I snapped a photo of him and said " I will take another one year later, that will make a good BEFORE and AFTER comparison. " He was happy about that. We soon emerged and hash circle was conducted as usual but in a brief manner as everyone had to adjourn at Siang Yen restaurant for the AGM.

At the AGM, Vibrator declared that he would decline to be nominated due to the business and family commtments. After that there was an undecisive moment as no one wanted to be nomianted as GM. Batu Api was elected as a protem chairman who could not solve the problem. He gave up. Vibrator took over and expressed disappointment as his well groomed JMs could not take responsibility to succeed as GM. He fired them from the " Menu ". Perhaps, ex Gm Vibrator did the job so well that the standard was pushed to a high level and many probably declined in a shy way as they could be afraid that they could not match the standard. The responsibility was too high. At this point, our thoughtful Garfield was kind enough to offer his service and he accepted the nomination as GM and the ice was broken and the election was smooth sailing and this time new blood was pumped in and another eventful hash life of MH3 was anticipated. There are no hard and fast rules in hash, no matter how the earth turns, hashing continues.

Party continued with happy ending, five tables were fully occupied on the club and Tiger beer Company sponsored 5 crates of beer for the event and there were five lucky draws too. I left at 11 pm and did not know when the party was actually off.
