Rehashed Run No: 1632; Date: 4th April, 2006; Hare: Ngoh Kim Siah; Runsite: Krubong
I reached the runsite at about 5.30pm where few hashers were already gathering. It was at a new part of The Krubong area.
" There are no rules in the hash "as they say and MH3 has really lived to the belief. Some were waiting to start at 6.00pm and
some early birds were already inside running. The hare Orang Kaya had made the hashing operation in a big way. He got the
cohare manager Killer with two assistants, Sexy Chan and Looikong laying the papers for him at the front and meanwhile he and his
personal assistant Sweetie Pie strolling behind following the papers.
Anyway, I could not stand the mosquitoes chasing after me and decided to enter the run at about 5.35PM. I was alone all the time
on the undulating ground of the rubber plantation. At least there were less mosquitoes on the higher ground while one was running.
I thought to myself on the worst case, I must catch up with somebody in front because I hated to look for check on my own. Finally, I
came to the first check, and luckily, Drug Buster reponded to my "Are You? " at a T junction. I immediately turned left and
caught up with the Drug Buster and his partner. Now I had company and really enjoyed the run. The killer's papers is always good.
big piece of square paper at good spacing. We soon reached a deep ditch where fortunately two big tree trunks were layed as a
bridge. No big deal, and we crossed it without much effort. Keeping on walking at times running, we came to a second check which
was a big tricky. A deep drain with a pond lied in front of us. far away, we could see some papers dangling among the branches.
" Was it paper? " Dr Dave asked. By then Dr Dave and Marry already caught up with us. "Definitely yes " it looked like the hare was trying to lure
us to swim through the water to get on track. The ever resourceful Drug Buster was more experienced and went further up along
the drain and finally found that there was a slanting plank acting as a bridge. That was good and we soon followed and avoided
wetting our feet. We were told later some hashers at the back did get wet through the drain failing to detour to the bridge.
The third check was much easier as there were then more hashers catching up. More pairs of eyes made the checking quicker. The
final hurdle was a double ditch which was deep enough to make the climb up quite a hassle. Someone had to push your bottom in
order to get up but after that it was a smooth sailing. The whole journey with running and walking took me about one and a half
hour. It was indeed a very refreshing run.
At the runsite, each runner was given a cap. A bonfire was set up not because of coldness but to drive away the mosquitoes, however
Sweetie Pie was seen baking her bottom. The hash circle was soon set up and the sinners were put on ice. The grandmaster was
the last one on ice and he really looked very exhausted.
On On was at the Siang Yeun Restaurant. Three tables were fully occupied. The Cocker's table attracted quite an attention as this
joker was performing a wonderful magic show which drews a lot of laughters. On down was done on the hare and the cohares and
the damage was totally borned by the hare and naturally a happy birthday song was sung to him.
It was a happy evening, the food was good, and thanks to the generosity of the hare. The party was over at about 10pm.
